My Quote
"Successful people are dominated by an inspirational unrest that urges them to rise above themselves and their circumstances to reach for higher, more worthwhile goals. They harbor a constructive discontent with life as it is, and strive to make it better. They do not complain, they correct. They do not deplore, they act. They do not lament, they lead." To Whom It May Concern.
My name is Alissa Kispersky, and I am a recent graduate from UC San Diego, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Though I graduated as a Mech. E., I have always been heading in a more design-oriented direction. In fact, my senior project was to design and build a camping chair. We went through the whole design process at a fast-paced and competitive level. I believe that experience was an incredible introduction to the intricacies and complications of the design process, and I am hungry to get more experience. Your job opening could be exactly what I am looking for in my next project.

In addition to school-related experience, I would say that what has prepared me most for a stressful and fast-paced environment was being a 4-year varsity athlete. While a captain of a highly competitive Rowing team(Div. II National Runners-Up, '07, '08), I have learned the importance of teamwork and the difficulties of leadership. I work well under pressure, and I can work hard. But I also play hard. I expect my work to be done well, and I like a challenge.

If the job opening you have sounds like something that would fit me, please let me know. You can reach me anytime, but preferably in the daylight hours.
