The opportunity
We are a web 2.0 startup looking for a co-founder/tech lead who loves music and wants to do something cool. We are trying to consolidate a fragmented live entertainment market. Ultimately, we want to do for live entertainment what Amazon has done for manufactured goods -- be the go-to place for private and corporate live entertainment, and extending that lead to be the go-to place for all kinds of services.

What you get:
You get to work from home with a 3-person team that coordinates our work through scrum. You get to tweak and revamp a product in alpha with 40 users. You get to join a company in the pre-funding stage: The upside is you will get a big decision-making say on all aspects of the company and much larger percentage of equity than a post-funding company. The downside is we cannot pay salary yet. So this opportunity is only suitable for developers interested in taking some risk and testing your mettle at creating a new disruptive company.

Your responsibilities:
• Own and lead the development process using agile methodologies. Must be able to quickly code and test new features to find traction
• Help deploy, maintain, monitor, and grow the site as needed
• As a founder, catch falling balls, speak up, and advance the vision

Your Skills:
• Expert with Ruby on Rails, MySQL, A/B testing, architecture; Working knowledge of JavaScript, AJAX

• Ability to lead development team, and elevate team members’ skills
• Decisive, action-oriented individual who learns quickly, works well
in a team, and is a creative problem solver
• Experience working in an early-stage startup environment is a plus.

The fine print:
Compensation is in co-founder equity depending on time commitment. Minimum time commitment is 20 hours per week, which can be during the evenings. When the company secures financing, you can expect a salary that will rise over time as revenue grows. It will then require a full-time commitment.
