Overview
We are seeking an experienced PASSIONATE and design-centric Senior Presentation Layer Developer to join our rapidly growing startup team.
Summary:
This role bridges the creative and technical aspects of project delivery. With little supervision, you will develop and implement designs according to a direction with art and creativity that has already been established. In this role, you must be able to work in as well as combine the creative with the technical across a variety of platforms and frameworks. Ultimately, you are responsible for all aspects of presentation layer development, including all front-end technologies.

As one of the founding developers you will be expected to share and defend your opinions and ideas for the company.
Responsibilities
Responsible for executing thorough code complex designs that reflect the creative and artistic direction provided within the established technical framework
Creation of all coded presentation layer deliverables
Can work and excel better in a mixed, virtual environment than in a cubicle
Able to shift seemingly between a creative and a technical focus depending on the current need and/or circumstance each day (this is a startup)
Establish presentation layer requirements & standards
Rapidly produced interim deliverables such as style guide components, technical specifications, prototypes, proofs of concept, etc., in addition to the final live site or application
Participate in scoping and planning work
Participate in writing detailed level technical and functional documentation
Ability to take initiative to research and learn emerging technologies
Participation in the greater Presentation Layer Community
Experience
At least 4+ years experience with hand-coding D/XHTML, JavaScript, CSS and Flash
At least 2+ years experience using Silverlight, Flex, or other frameworks used to develop dynamic interactive web and mobile applications
Skills

Expertise developing and testing across multiple browsers, platforms,
Experience with XML, XSLT, DTD or Schema modeling, DOM/XPath/SAX parsing
Experience with Rich Internet Applications, Macromedia Flash, and AJAX; particularly the technical and coding aspects such as Object Oriented programming, Flash Remoting, Flex Framework, Data Binding, Components, Silverlight, Web Services, etc. are required.
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems
Experience User Interface Design, Information Architecture, graphic design experience is a MUST HAVE
Experience developing accessible web applications
Demonstrate ability to accurately estimate and scope developmental work
Typography, style, Attention to detail and the ability to knock the socks off users

It is a three month renewable contract position for a fast-paced start-up. Compensation is negotiable and may include a Very Handsome *Equity package (or pretty, if you prefer over handsome).
