Exciting Start-Up is seeking a full-time User Experience Designer for full-time work in NYC. We’re looking for someone with a strong background in UX and interface designer. The key responsibilities for the UX Designer will be wireframing, working with the VP of Product on iterations of the wireframes, user testing, following best practices for information architecture, creating a seamless interface and elegant visual design, and working with the engineering team to ensure design standards are followed. We are a small group and everyone wears many hats. For this role, we need a team player who’s happy to help with any need that comes along.

Responsibilities
Work with VP of Product on UX Design, IA, Interface, and Visual Design for our stealth mode web application product.
Create and iterate prototypes
Conduct testing of prototypes, gather user feedback, and A/B testing.
Work with internal teams to meet deadlines and preserve design vision throughout the production process
Work in Agile environment to help process run quickly and effectively.
Research the latest trends in cloud computing, presentation layer technologies, UX best practices, and provide recommendations

Requirements
Solid portfolio demonstrating experience in information architecture, UX design, interface design, and visual design
Examples of Web-based applications strongly preferred
Robust IA expertise, including development of wireframes and flow diagrams
Experience with user research and usability testing
Competency in standard design and prototyping tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Omnigraffle/Visio)
Familiarity with front-end development technologies & databases
Strong communications and problem-solving skills
Experience working in an agile environment preferred
Experience with ebooks, publishing, education is highly preferred.
Experience with cloud based computing is also a big plus.

Full-time salary $80-90K plus stock!
