Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

* Work with engineers, product managers, and end users to design and develop internal tools and external site features in an Agile development environment.
* Conceive, architect, build, test, and release features and enhancements in an iterative manner
* Produce creative solutions with an emphasis on usability and simplicity
* Write and maintain documentation and unit/functional/integration tests
* Work proficiently in all layers of the development stack, from SQL to HTML/CSS and JavaScript

Qualifications

* BS/BA/MS in CS/EE or equivalent experience in web application development
* 4-7 years of software development experience
* Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and standard software engineering practices
* Organized, self-sufficient worker with a disciplined, analytical approach to problem solving
* Experience with major web development frameworks (Ruby on Rails, Adobe Flash/Flex/Air, Spring/Struts, Hibernate/DataMapper)
* Experience with mainstream SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2)
