The Role:
We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers who want to help us scale, load test, troubleshoot and maintain the infrastructure on which Skout is built: a rapidly growing cluster of Linux based servers, bare-metal with a mix of Cloud services, terabytes of rapidly changing social data. This role will merge the skills of a systems administrator and software architect to design increasingly large-scale systems while being able to successfully manage system complexity. Sound exciting? Our Ideal Candidate:
* 4+ years’ experience in software engineering, systems administration, or network administration with 2+ years on servers and cluster productions on server scale
* Expert level knowledge of major Linux distributions
* Expertise with at least one major scripting language
* Degree in computer science or other relevant field

Bonus Points For:
* Experience with cloud technology, especially Amazon EC2
* Database Administration for a terabyte of data storage or larger
