Radar Networks has an opening for a Senior Database Developer.
Full-time salaried position with stock and benefits.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Database Developer will join Radar Networks systems platform team and take ownership of steering the evolution of their data platform. The position will be a key contributor in evolving the existing designs in preparation for massive scalability, investigating third-party technology and services where they may help in fulfilling their technology vision.
DUTIES
• Work with Radar Networks’ Chief Architect and Engineering team to understand, document and maintain their data model and core ontology
• Work with Product Managers to ensure that near- and long-term business requirements are supported by their data architecture
• Work with their Architects to identify and resolve data platform and technology gaps
• Work with their Engineering team to develop, test and execute data migrations leveraging both their Java platform and SQL scripts
• Work with QA and Engineering to define and execute data quality initiatives
• Work with their Data Analysis team and key business stakeholders to prototype data warehouse implementations in support of their medium- and long-term analysis and reporting needs
• Mentor junior engineers
• Provide technical leadership
• Participate in formulating their technical and product roadmaps
• Consistently produce high quality deliverables
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6+ years of experience in application and database development
• 4+ years of database development with enterprise RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, preferred)
• 2+ years of tool-driven data modeling (Erwin, ER/Studio, etc.)
• Excellent SQL skills
• Experience with both relational and vertical data models
• Experience with Hibernate or other ORM solutions
• Ability to learn quickly and proactively
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
