Job Summary
To support our rapid growth, we are seeking experienced SAN/NAS (NetApp & Hitachi experience preferred) storage consultants. As an Orchesys consultant, you will be presented with many challenging and diverse projects, all focused in the storage space. These include customer-facing projects, design and implementation, basic installation and troubleshooting. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, will think outside the box, and will thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
Service and Support – Hands on hardware experience needed to support existing customer environments. Must be able to recognize deviation from storage best practices, troubleshoot performance issues, and recommend a resolution.
Installation - Tasks include managing and planning the installation of new storage equipment, coordinating installation efforts with client staff, customizing configurations, and tuning parameters to meet client needs.

General Administration and Maintenance – Tasks include monitoring diagnostic data, analyzing case trends, profiling technical recommendations, and assisting with administration tasks.

Documentation – Must have experience with IT documentation. (Change control, documentation development, process development)

Application Integration – (Optional) – Looking for Exchange, Oracle, SAP, NetBackup, TSM, and VTL experts. We are looking for Sr. Consultants who have integration, provisioning and trouble shooting experience within an Enterprise SAN/NAS environment.

Qualifications
Mandatory qualifications include:
• 3-5 years hands-on SAN/NAS experience (NetApp Hitachi preferred)
• Strong understanding of storage technologies (NAS, SAN, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, CIFS, NFS)
• Data center server operating systems (UNIX, Linux, Windows)
• 5+ years IT experience

Desired qualifications include:
• Familiarity with disaster recovery/business continuance strategies
• Storage Provisioning
• High Availability Design and Implementation
• Data Migration
• Field service experience in customer-facing roles
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage and exceed client expectations

Education
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience
