Loomia, a leader in the recommendations and personalization space, is looking for a Software Engineer who is passionate about designing and building the next generation recommendations delivery platform. You will be part of a small group of talented engineers building the features and infrastructure components used by high volume sites to deliver personalized content from multiple sources to hundreds of millions of people on multiple delivery platforms (web, phone, iptv and more). We have a proven product with a lot of demand and you should want to solve interesting problems that directly impact the company’s success.

Reports to: VP of Engineering

Essential Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of several mission critical systems within our environment. We are a growing and dynamic company, so successful candidate should be able to quickly deliver application changes that are well designed and tested. No hacks, please. You will be diligent about reusing well-tested libraries, writing unit tests and understand how to write software with the correct level of abstraction. It is a big plus if you have a knowledge in computer science algorithms, systems design and high performance systems.

Requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• 3+ years of professional software experience developing mission-critical applications.
• 2+ years experience working in interpreted languages like Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby
• 2+ years experience working in compiled languages like C++, Java, C
• 2+ years experience working with open-source LAMP stack
• Extremely fast learner, strong can-do attitude, and a real team player
• History of delivering successful software products on time.

Our office is located in a great North Beach neighborhood that is just a short walk from Bart. Relocation and telework situations will be considered. Telework option is only available to the right candidate with the drive and diligence to work remotely and stay connected to the SF dev team.
