We are looking for a uniquely talented, detail oriented & self motivated Web/Interactive Designer who is as passionate as we are about creating award winning online interactive experiences. Are you one of the few who can go all the way from concept and design through to development and execution and bring your creative dreams to interactive life?

The successful applicant will report to the Director of Web Services, Marketing.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the Director of Web Services to design and implement a cutting edge Web 2.0 user experience.
• Create working comps and rapidly ptototype UI concepts (Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Responsible for designing, developing and integrating the front end web experience with our talented application developers.
• Responsible for graphic design, UI, site usability & x/HTML/CSS/Javascript/Flash production.
• Clearly communicate your ideas both visually and verbally to a small and extremely talented team.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree and/or 2-5 years of hands on experience in the area of interactive web design.
• A UI design expert with demonstrated fluency (hand code) in HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX.
• A master at debugging cross browser CSS isues and an intimate working knowledge of cross-browser compatibility and W3C Standards.
• A passion to deliver innovative standards compliant solutions; working concurrently on several projects under tight deadlines.
• Adept with Adobe CS3, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash and other applicable web design / development software.
• Proficient in Flash including Actionscript 3.
• Thrive in a fast -paced environment and effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects at once, while setting and meeting demanding deadlines.

Nice to have; but not required
o Understanding in PHP, SQL, XML and basic Unix commands.
o Familiarity with version control systems (preferably svn)
o Experience with WebObjects.
o Apache web server, Unix/OS X Server experience.

We consider telecommuting 1-2 days a week.

We are close to BART, have a shuttle service to our office from BART, gym and a cafe onsite. We are 8 miles from the San Mateo bridge!!!
