DECA was founded in 2007 by experienced entertainment and Internet executives who previously held senior roles at: Sony Pictures, ABC, and Yahoo! Music. The company identifies, funds, markets and distributes next-generation digital entertainment properties, bridging the gap between Hollywood, Madison Avenue and Silicon Valley. Based in Santa Monica, DECA is backed by Mayfield, General Catalyst, and Atomico. We are seeking an innovative, LA-based Graphic Designer for a variety of web based projects.
 
You must have a well-developed sense of style and a portfolio that demonstrates excellent use of typography, color, and layout. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take direction well, have excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills, and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
 
REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors of Fine Arts or equivalent in graphic design related degree
• 3+ years in graphic or web design experience
• Experience with design and integration of high quality web sites and social video applications.
• Great attention to detail and a strong understanding of typography, interface and interaction design.
• Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, and Indesign CS3
• Knowledge of Flash, After Effects, HTML/CSS is a preferred.
