DECA is an exciting digital entertainment startup with high profile venture capital investors that is seeking a talented and motivated Sales Director to develop and maintain relationships with brands and agencies.
The ideal candidate is a proven business development professional within the online community . This position will focused on creating (and closing) sponsorship deals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and cultivate leads for sales pipeline
- Cold-calling to set up meetings
- Frequent travel (NY, Chicago, SF, Seattle)
- Four face-to-face meetings per week
- Keep a detailed account of all leads and business
- Negotiate favorable terms on sales proposals/deals
- Sell large dollar sponsorships, product placements and brand integrations (not CPM sales)
- Make quarterly and annual sales goals according to plan
- Provide weekly report to Director, Business Development
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Experience building sales decks in PowerPoint
- Experience selling large-ticket items ($100k minimum)
- Rolodex of brand/agency contacts preferred
- College degree
- Track record of success
- Solid understanding of Internet/video advertising metrics and technologies
- 3-4 years sales experience selling advertising
- 2 years online experience
